if your best friend?

It happened to me and my best friend when we were still in college. There was this guy who used to be our classmate during High school and he was courting my best friend. I knew exactly how bad this guy was but of course as a true friend to my best friend, I told her everything I know about the guy. I also told her that I was just concerned of her. I didn't tell her what to do, I just told her what I knew. After a few months, she dumped the guy because she realized that what I told her was true. She thanked me for that. I knew that telling her those things would hurt her but I am her real friend and I didn't want her to be more hurt while falling for that guy.

yes i would certainly speak up and tell her what i think about her dating that guy but of course i will not ask her to stop dating him. But i will just let her know and give her some cautions. It is still up to her if she will go on dating or not. At least i tried to let her see the other side of what she saw in her perspective.
