I've noticed that there is no topic at all for this interest. However, I'm sure some people in MyLot are fans of Japanese pop and rock music, and might know about this band. For an overview, X-Japan is a speed metal/hard rock band based in -- you guessed it -- Japan. The band had somewhat of a cult following in that country, and is considered legendary. They are composed of Yoshiki Hayashi in drums and piano, Hideto Matsumoto in lead guitar, Tomoaki Ishizuka in rhythm guitar, Hiroshi Morie in bass and Toshimitsu Deyama in vocals. They have been active since the late 1980's until 1996, when they split up. However, they have reunited this year with the exception of Matsumoto, who died months after the split-up. The band is known for their thrashing sound and violent lyrics, as well as some really sentimental and classically written ballads. Their trademark is the use of piano and orchestrated instruments, a trademark which they upped the ante in their ballad albums. For a time, they have been known for their flamboyant and extravagant makeup and costumes although they've shed that into more casual wear during their later years. So anyone knows anything about this band?

a topic at last Seishiro! ehehe nice, I'm a big fan of X. I've read other forums that X world tour concert in europe has been pushed to next year. They are supposed to be having a reunion Christmas concert in Saitama Super Arena this 24 and 25, but it has pushed to 2009. I'm disappoint to that.. maybe I'm just excited to see. hehe They still rocks! long live Toshi, Pata, Heath, Yoshiki! Your always a part of X Hide-sama! may your spirit always be with!

Love them, sang their songs to the MAX! First time I heard them was on X1999 the animation. Their song was the ending song for that anime titled Forever Love. Since then, I have idolized this rock stars. It's excellent that they've reunited again and sang songs like the old days and I hope they stay longer...
