Will you forgive the person who once betrayed you?

Forgiving is not easy specially for someone who betrayed you for any reason. It's hard when you are not over with the hurt yet. They say forgiving is divine and we need to forgive to free us from anger within us. Will you forgive the person who betrayed you?

Hi there mystique838!
I must admit that I am the type of person who does not easily forgive people who have done me wrong. If it is about betrayal, I might have a difficult time forgiving that person who has betrayed me. Whatever reason or reasons he/she may have, the fact that he/she betrayed me definitely hurts. If ever, I would find it in my heart to forgive that person, forgetting what he or she has done would be another issue.

Yes, human as we are, we find it hard to forgive the person who betrayed us. It's hard to forgive, much harder to forget.

That is the reality. iT hurts even deeper if the person who betrays you is your close friend. Seems unforgivable.

i guess i will be able to forgive that person.but of course,it will be hard to trust that person again.and also,i may be able to forgive but kinda hard to forget what he/she did to me.even though a person betrayed me,i will still try to be there for him/her to make that person think that he/she was wrong to betray me.it's a way of letting that person feel sorry for what he/she did.lol.happy mylotting!

Good point. You try to be there for that person just to let him know he made a big mistake by betraying you. I can sense he will end up telling you he's sorry for doing that because you are still treating him good.

i used to forgive people all the time and i never withdrawn from this act of being good to others as well but there's only 2 persons i cannot forgive for betrayal is a painful act for me i've got nothing else to do but to be true to myself. Even if i cannot forgive i still don't care anymore about this person who get rid and pushed me out of the bloom who always call me loser, i felt like i don't know what to do and what to say i just face the reality to it. Making a choice is sometimes bitter i'd rather be true rather than faking it though. i don't want to make arguments. its better to be alone than to have somebody else around me who always hurt my feelings. this will be my kind of choice, my kind of truth, my kind of life.

Well when i was young i had a friend and we had a business selling any kind of candy, desert, or healthy food. Then one day my "friend" came with other kids and beat me and took my money from that entire week away. i always keep it in a wallet. I still know where he lives but i cant decide whether to forgive him or beat him up

That was so bad uncleiroh. You must have been very hurt inside then. Well, you haven't decided yet whether to forgive or beat him up until now - that may mean you have forgiven him little by little unconsciously.
