Has anyone heard about this site? I think it's a pretty neat site and really brings needlework crafters together. If you really want to find some amazing patterns, and even advice, I would suggest getting an invite. It doesn't take too terribly long to get invited to the site!
Has anyone heard of this site?
Are you already a member?
Do you enjoy it?
Any comments?

I just came across this site yesterday. I'm still waiting for my invite to be approved. It looks really resourceful because I'm a beginner knitter (I just started last month!).

I know it's been resourceful for me as a beginner in crocheting, so I am glad it's a good choice for Knitters as well! Good Luck with your knitting! The invite should come shortly!

I'm a member of Ravelry (and about 2 dozen other craft sites...lol) It is a great site and they did have people sharing some beautiful patterns and tips on which companies had great sales on supplies, etc.
Jewelry making has taken up much of my time over the last 6-8 months and I haven't done very much knitting. I haven't been on the site in quite some time, but it is a great site!
For anyone who's waiting for approval or thinking of joining.... check your spam mailbox for your approval emails. I was waiting forever before finding out I had been accepted several months earlier and the email went to my spam folder.

I think you could've browsed around the site. It's been over a year since I joined that I can't remember any longer...lol
I make jewelry with glass beads, semi-precious stones and my specialty...sea glass. I sell online at Etsy.com and do the craft show circuit, along with home shows from time to time.
It's fun and I find it relaxing to take a cup of tea or coffee to my crafting table and just sit and create... especially after a long day at my JOB.

I took a look at your etsy store, I thought that I had followed a link from your profile at one time, I really like the heart pendant, I think it's adorable. Those are some very beautiful things you made. I am sure it's calming to craft, I know that it has been for me so far in that when I practice it seems like all this planning and stuff that I'm doing for mine and my fiance's wedding is just melted away!

I haven't gotten into the craft joining craze yet, but I am sure that is soon too come! Jewelry making sounds like it would be lots of fun. My fiance's mother and his grandmother came back from a craft fair and his grandma had bought me and his mom matching bracelets. They were beaded. What kind of jewelry making do you do? I know there is several ways to make them. Oh and great tip for those still awaiting their approvals! I know mine didn't come in spam, but I used gmail so I'm glad that it sifted right to the inbox. I'd of been in a frenzy waiting, I couldn't wait to explore the site! (I didn't think that you could explore until after you joined, but a responder above made me think that I might could've).
In any case Happy Holidays to you!

I've heard about this too. It sounds so neat. I don't normally join crafting communities - it's really distracting, and I always find stuff I want to make - but this looks so fun!

Oh I know it's so distracting, I've been distracted by not just crafting communities but also crafting websites. This site is definitely a distraction, but it's one well worth it! I hope you sign up, you'll definitely enjoy the distraction!
I think there's even yarn swaps and such, so that if you find a pattern you want but don't have the color you need / want, then you can just do it there. I'm not sure where on the site this is,but I've heard about it. I assume it's the groups or forums!
Happy Crafting!
Sorry for giving you such a sweet distraction!

I'm not sure how many improvement's they've done since a year ago, I was under the impression they just started. I like the site a lot though, and recommend you look back at it.. It's a great site.
I appreciate the response.

I really like Ravelry. It's such a good resoruce.
I think my favorite thing is seeing how people subsitiute yarn. Sometimes the reccomended yarn is just too expensive and seeing what other people have used and had work is great!
It's also such a good resource for patterns! I'm not really on the forums there, but I am in a few groups. In general I really like this site. I know it's in BETA now so I hope it sticks around!

I didn't realize this, but indefinitely the sites been around for quite awhile. I'm not sure why it's still in beta but from what I read about the couple who started it, they have quite a lot on their hands, so I can understand where the site might be on the back burner. I'm sure it will stay around though, a lot of people live the site, and they have ways of making money for it so that their time and money isn't wasted.
I'm just a beginner - crocheter, and really crafter. This site right now serves as a -- ooh I wanna make that --- site, more of an inspirational site. I haven't ventured onto the groups, though i've searched for them. Looks like i'll have to make my own group, but I want to get more experience before doing that.
Then again, I searched by State, and am not sure if there's a way to search by interest. All In All, It's a fun site!
