was a board member of Freddie Mac? Does it bother any democrats that his pay on that board went from $31k to $230k in one year?
Does it bother anyone that Prs. Elect Obama's first major decision after winning the White House is to reward one of the very people who should be being investigated for criminal activities?
Democrats have long called for the heads of corporate leaders of companies that turn to the government for bailouts while they recieve golden parachutes. This is one of the few things where I have agreed with Democrats. Apparently though, while some democrats may be outraged over this, the party itself doesn't really care.
What Obama has done is reward a corporate board leader for his crimes.

Para, I hate to tell you this but a board memeber doesn't run the company. Their are usually 7 other members that can out vote that one that you are talking about. YES, corporate American is corrupt, and YES we need to investigate the people that started, and profitted from this mess. But, I would wait till the investigation is over, before you get handcuffs ready.

The investigation happened and he and all the members of the board were investigated by "The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight" and found to have known about all the coooked books and corruption and did nothing about it. They profited from it, and Emanuel himself got a $200,000 dollar bonus for his corruption.
Or are you going to be so stupid as to think that Emanuel was the only honest man where there were none?

Para, if you read my post, you would see that I said that we need to investigate this, then he should be put in jail if he did something illegal. What you have to understand is that these guys don't go to jail, that is a fact. It is so hard to procecute white collar crime, the vast majority of the time, they don't even try. But, if you really want to go down this road for political gain, then you should stop now. You don't want to see how much money the men that caused this sent to Washington since 1998 (over $1 billion dollars, mostly going to republicans). This is not a war you want to fight on the polical end, you would be much better off going for the corruption end.

There's some other picks of the soon-to-be new administration (mostly from bailed out banks, or with connections to bail out)...and they all bother me.
I'm waiting to see what sort of job they do, and the reasons why he picked them...but I'm allowed to still be bothered.

This stuff won't be reported by the mainstream media. It should bother them, but in truth this is the kind of stuff that should have been vetted during the election, but unfortunately the media refused to do their jobs again. I hope that they do a better job the next four years.

In fairness to the incompetent press, this was covered by ABC at least.. but few seem to care.
