What do you make your stuffing with? I normally do mine with just bread, but I know some people use cornbread. Some people use a box mix or a bag of stuffing bread cubes and and their own stuff. What do you put in your stuffing? Do you put meat in yours? How about oyster stuffing?

Hi there Lilybug,
I make my grandmothers stuffing that she use to make years ago.
Bread cubes, giblets, chicken broth, sage, salt & pepper, and thats pretty much it, dang that stuff is so good, if you get it just right! Yumm, can't wait! :o)

We use stuffing bread, break it up into little pieces, add spices, eggs, and sausage. I thin that is all...I usually don't make it.
Every year my family gets together for a turkey stuffing party. This is the night before Thanksgiving and we make the stuffing and stuff the turkey for the next day. I usually do the breaking of the bread, my husband cooks the sausage and my mom adds all the other stuff. It ends up tasting really good.

My mom makes these incredible stuffing patties. I don't know the exact ingredients but here is what I remember. She rips up bread. Then she puts in egg, celery, onion and i think a little salt and pepper. then she mixes it together until it is squishy. Then she makes them into patties and fries them in butter in a frying pan until they are browned on each side. They are sooo good!

If I am going to stuff the chicken or turkey (which I only cooked once) I will use stove top cornbread stuffing mix. I will add onions and celery to it and use chicken stock instead of water, along with sausage.
If I am making it as a side dish, I will use muffin mix, prepare it as directed and add onions, celery, sausage, poultry seasoning or sage and bake it.
