Do you like to respond to a very long topic?

Honestly, I preferred short and concise topic for discussion. It turns me off to read a very long topic like an article type? Oh!! my goodness!! I know there are good ones but It's like, I will be lost of my response if the topic is too long. But sometimes, when it is really very interesting, I would spend time reading and responding but that is only rare for me. I like that 3-4 lines or maybe the most 5-6 not like almost 1 page? As if there's no thrill anymore. What about you? please share!!!!

I have been wondering for sometime about posting a similar post. Thanks for beating me to it! I feel the same as you and you did a great job of posting it to the point and discriptive. Post on! :)

it's not that it bores me when there are long topics but it's the content that i'm aiming at. of course a topic with less words and which has a brief & concise info is plus wherein i could easily hit the "respond" button and type what i have in mind. but let's admit it, there are people who goes around the point. i'm not telling it's bad but these people are wordy because some can't express what they feel. at one point some can express more in words because they tell stories or experiences. to be honest, those who shares their experiences is something i'm more interested at because when i read their stories i could tell that i'm not alone experiencing the battles of life. it's always nice to hear stories of others. what i usually don't respond to are topics which are obviously taken from an article, that which that has no originality.

indeed! more on a personal basis with a co-mylotter. it's like having someone you can relate your life to or on the other hand someone you could help or could help you.

I am afraid I am one of those Mylot characters who post very long discussions. Believe me, I try to keep it short and sweet, but somehow end up writing long discussions. I agree, it is very difficult to read a long discussion, even if it is a good one, when you get it directly in your inbox. It appears as one big chunk of text that is very difficult to read. I really must keep it short next time. :) Cheers and happy mylotting

Hello Bebs. I also like to read and respond to short discussions in most cases. As to long discussions, it depends on how much I can relate to the topic. If I cannot find anything to relate to it, I usually give it up. But I have to say that sometimes you will find very useful information in a long discussion if you go on reading it with interest and patience. Have you found this, please, Bebs? So I usually try not to miss the points and discussions that can arouse my interest. Thank you for your discussion, Bebs. Good day.

I tend to delete the notification for very long discussions. It puts me off too. The maximum I would like in a discussion would be about 7 lines. Nothing more than that.

Thats how I am too, I don't like having to read the real long topics, there are some good ones as you said, but sometimes I don't have the time to sit here and read and read. I'll respond to the 3 or 4 liners and 5 or 6 liners, they are more easier to understand sometimes....I try to respond to all my friends tho. Have a good day

I'm one of those people who don't care much for reading in general, meaning if it's a bunch of words clattered together, I immediately lose interest because I'm impatient and would really like to get to the point. Some long disussions I will answer to because the topic may interest me, or I'm quite fund of the author of the discussion.

Well, you have to take both.some are precise and some are narrative. What to see is, whether they are interesting or not. Some are not satisfied with few words. They want to be more clear to themselves.

Oh yes, I understand that.. If the topic is really interesting, I might consider extending a few minutes to read and respond. But still good to have that simple, direct to the point and concise topics to discuss.

I don't like reading long posts too... I only ready topics with 4~9 lines MAX. It's a waste of time and you can resume what you want to discuss. And I don't like to respond a discussion with more than 5 lines, it get tired easy

Hi there Bebs. I agree that some long topic are a bit annoying if i can call them that in the term that they may contain a subject not be very appealing to me but if they are from my friends i try to answer nevertheless. It is tiring at times because i know that i won't get paid more but at least i know my friends will be pleased to find my response show up there. And of course there are the very interesting subjects for me that i will read no matter how long it is - what really matters is the importance of the information for me, not the length as far as i am concerned

Hi Bebs! Sometimes I do, but most of the time that I don't, lol. And like you said, if the discussions are interesting ,I will take my time to read and respond to it. I don't read fast, so it will take me some time before I respond. I think it is easier to respond to a short topic, in my opinion though. Thanks!

well, i fi let to response or give my opinion in a certain topic i dont like a long one with no sense i prefer a short one which is direct to the point or the reader can understand well, coz mostly of the participants gives long introduction but at the end there is a simple meaning on it

that's the right word!!! Sensible discussion is preferable though, it's a little bit long as long as it has full of sense, I might consider reading and responding to it.

As for me, i hate reading such a long topic. For as long as you raise exactly your point, i think that would be fine enough to start a good quality conversation between two people.
