I have this disorder and it is so upsetting to feel this way most of the time. I don't even know if I will be able to hold a regular job in the future. Little things make me so nervous. I also get horrible muscle spasms. I want to sleep all the time but never feel awake. I take medication to sleep but when you wake up with this medication you feel even worse. I have been fired from jobs because I can't handle stress and I make mistakes. It is so hard. Can anyone else relate.

The problam also bothered me last year.I graduated from university June 2007.I felt worse when I have to face the social competition. At that time,I could not fall sleep all night. Finally,I find a way to deal with the huge trouble.Firstly, you could just relax yourself and slowly breathe. The best important notice that you must not consider anything especial job.I holp it will help you.

I had to do a little research to read up about Generalised Anxiety Disorder. It sounds a truly debilitating disorder because it can simply feed on itself by creating anxiety about having the disorder. I feel for you !
You are not alone it seems: Wikipedia says that 6.8 million Americans may suffer from it. Nobody, of course, is free from anxiety and, to a certain extent, it is a good and natural reaction which is normally temporary and helps to solve the problems which we are capable of solving. It is when the worry and anxious feelings begin to dominate and extend to things which (others would say) are silly to worry about that one needs to seek help.
One of the pages I came across was a discussion between therapists and those who have suffered from anxiety. As I read it, I felt that you might also find it interesting and heartening: http://www.emofree.com/a/?3252/http://eftcommunity.emofree.com/forums/t/3683.aspx
The people in the discussion are using something called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) both in their work and personally for many things. It is an easily learned technique that you can apply to yourself, sometimes with some help initially from a therapist. There are many, many reports of some remarkable cures in which it has been involved. Please follow the links at the top of the page to learn more about it. It may be possible for you to find relief yourself by using it though I think I'd advise finding a therapist who uses it initially. Discussing your problem with someone else is often of immense help in discovering the root cause (which may often be a trauma of some kind about which you may have forgotten).
