Favourite family members

Do you have a favourite family member? Perhaps an uncle or aunt or a sibling or grandparent? Many would say it is wrong to play favourites but I think everyone has a favourite person from their family who they look up to. My favourite is my Grandmother, who passed away two years ago. She was so inspiring. All she did in her last years was read and read. She was fascinated with Socrates and the Incas and the supernatural. She would always call me up telling me things she'd learnt while reading. She adored me and I loved her so much. Do you have a favourite family member who's still with us or perhaps passed over?

Well, I am probably closest to my mom, and it breaks my heart to see how much ground she has lost in the last few years. I'm also close to my sister, tho she's nearly a thousand miles away. We talk a lot, tho mostly about mom these days. I tease her that she's trying to get all of us to Knoxville, she's already moved our uncle, mom's brother, and our cousin, from dad's side, there in the summer of '07.

My Gram was my favorite as well. I only had one set of grandparents and was especially close to my grandma. She was the best, when I was little she would always humour me by playing whatever silly game I could come up with. When I got older she was always there for me; she loaned me the money to buy my first vehicle and before that loaned me her car so I could get to work and school. I miss her every day. I'm also very close to my aunt and uncle. I see them all the time and my sister and I are like their other kids!

My younger brother, since he's the kid with all the wisdom, and I can seek guidence from him. At times, I don't see him as a younger brother, but as a twin since we both share things equally, and we'd usually team up for pranks, training, fights, anything. Sometimes, he's like a father, a (guy version of a mother) mother, a grandfather, an uncle to me because he's done and taught me so much weirdly enough, sometimes I think I'm the younger one because of my maturity sometimes. LOL.

I dont really have a favorite family member anymore. it used to be my uncle when i was growing up. We just had a different relationship. Probably cause my dad wasn't around so I kind of thought of my uncle as a dad. As I got into my teenage years though we kind of drifted apart. He is a really quiet guy. He probably is my favorite still just because he doesn't run his mouth the way the rest of my family does. he keeps to himself.

My favorite person was my Granny who passed way September 13, 2008. She was the one who loved us unconditionally, she would come and visit and spend time with us. Our parents would not do that. My dad will not come to my home nor has he ever been to my new home. He will not leave his wife. As far as my mom she is not happy with anything I have done for her even though she lived with me for 13 years rent free and now I am responsible for all her care at the nursing home she does not like anything I do for her. I will truly miss Granny and will always love her.

My favorite would be my grandma and grandpa. I used to be with them all the time and after my mom and dad divorced, we moved in with them. I'm still really close to them. I'm close to my mom and sister of course, but there is just something special about an awesome grandma and grandpa, you know?

I have a loveful family, every one in my family has their own way to show love for me. My grandmother, my mother's mother, she gave me a happy childhood, I live with her in my child year. My sister is my first teacher, in my first student years, I always learn from her.

my favorite family member is a tie between my mother and my little sister. both of them mean so much to me. I love them so much. my little sister has been the source of strength for me in my hardest times and she is the one I would rely for telling me the truth as it is, no sugar coating. and my mom is the comfort giver. without her i would not be able to move on.

My twin sister. She's my inspiration, has four kids and I don't know how she does it. She's very strong willed, superwomen at times and I admire her for who she is :) I miss her everday. She lives in New Zealand.

I have an Auntie and an Uncle who have both passed away. They were my Mom's siblings and though I would say I have a special kind of fondness on them. Why because they were so kind when they were still alive. Both of them helped our family to survive during my childhood days when my Dad was unemployed for a time due to an accident. These Auntie and Uncle of mine were the ones supporting us all the way. They were really kindhearted and they've proven that time and time again. They gave us food and they sent us to school while my Dad was unemployed. It was so painful for me when they passed away. My tears would fall as I remember how good they had been to my family.

My favorite family member is my eldest sister. She had been my favorite sibling ever since because I knew how well she took care of me when I was still younger. Until now, she sees to it that I am always okay despite the fact that we are far from each other. She is abroad and it has been three years since we last saw each other. Being the youngest in the family, I can say that I am lucky to have a caring family. Aside from my parents, my sister was very supportive of my dreams in life. She supports me in any way she could and she really is very helpful even to our other relatives. She is also very kind and understanding. I really love her and I miss her a lot.

Thank god and knock on wood i havent lost anyone close to me.On the subject though i would like to say that i dont really feel i have a favorite so much as a special bond with certain family members and a certain disdain with others.! I would much prefer the bonds but some of my family does have favs and im not included.
