I am working on becoming a stay at home mom within the next couple of years... Hope to have another bundle of joy within the next two years but have to get alot of money saved ahead so that we can survive without me working for the first 2-3 years of baby's life so... I would like to start a thread... Thanks!

When at all possible, I buy in bulk. In the long run it saves money. If you have a local discount food store, don't be afraid to shop there. You do have to be a label reader though. The product may have gone past its expiration date. If you love a tag sale, go to them. Buy things that you know are ridiculosly priced way low and resell them at your own tag sale or on Ebay. The same goes for shopping at the Goodwill or Salvation Army. You can sometimes find items for low prices and resell them for more.

Yes I bought some tupperware dishes for $1.50 for a set of seven four were new and three were not.. I sold the set that looked like they were new on ebay and received close to $40 for them... not sure why... but yes I do that quite often... and am able to make a couple of hundred a month without really trying very hard... When I do get done working and stay at home full time... i will put a little effort into it and try to make $100 a week....

Make a list on a weekly basis of what you plan to eat for that week based on what you have in the cupboards and what needs using up etc. It's a really good way to stop food going to waste and you will probably find you call for takeaways on a less regular basis.
