Who are the world's best chess players at the moment?

It's been quite a while since I last played chess. Been quite busy with a lot of things, and doesn't seem to be able to meet friends who play chess. However, I'm starting to play chess actively again. I am wondering, who's the champion at the moment? And who are among the top chess players at the moment? Hope some of you can give some names and maybe elaborate a bit about them.

There are many good chess player in the world now, but now as great as Gary Kasparov. I could name a few:
1. Vishwanathan Anand (made India proud).
2. Magnus Carlsen (the most upcoming player in World today & surely will be no. 1)
3. Vladimir Kramnik (fading name in chess)
4. Vaselin Topalov (current no.1 in chess)
5. Alexander Morozevich (another upcoming player)
6. Vasily Ivanchuk (still going on)
7. Teimour Radjabov (another upcoming player)

viswanathan anand from india is the best player at the moment. not only he is the world champion now, he surely dominating the scene for last 15 years with the likes of kasporov, karpov, kramnik, ivanchuk, topalov etc. rated as the no.2 player for most of his career in chess arena, finally the man outsmarted everybody and claimed the no.1 rank and the world champion tag easily against all odds.
i hope u must hv got ur answer now and will follow his game plans to improve ur game..
