Xavi Hernandez has turned down Barcelona football club's offer of a big money contract that will make him the club's second highest earner.......
According to Marca, the Catalan play-maker could earn a basic nine million US dollars a year plus add-ons depending on his performance if he had agreed.........
Xavi Hernandez has been hogging the headlines ever since Spain's win in Euro 2008.........
FC Barcelona were believed to have tried to sell Xavi unsuccessfully before....... But now, they are keen to tie him down to the club........
Xavi Hernandez's current deal does not expire until 2010, but the Blaugrana are hoping to tie him down to a new one in the next few weeks......... This is to ensure that he is not tempted to consider trying his luck elsewhere.......
If the 28-year old agrees to the deal, then it will make him the second highest-paid player at the club behind Lionel Messi........
Five meetings have already been held without agreement........ More meetings are anticipated to take place this week with the midfielder's representatives.......
HAPPY MYLOTTING!!!!!!
