I'm not a racist, and that is the last thing i'll ever be. I have friends from some parts of the world whom I'm so proud of. But something has always confused me. Why is it that some international media outfits always emphasises the bad news that comes from Africa. They always show Africa negatively, showing HIV infested people, exaggerating on malaria, orphans, or caricatures of human beings simply starved. I think the situation should be addressed. There's more to Africa than tnat. Africa is sooo beautiful. A simple visit would convince anybody. Expecting you.

I think it is a way to take the attention from one country and put it on another as far as poverty, disease and famine goes. I live in the US, and there are many places here that you wouldn't believe how the people have to live. There are some places without running water, electricity no available jobs etc. The media does not report conditions like this very often.
I am sure Africa is very beautiful, and too bad the media mostly shows the disadvantage areas the most.
Take care and God bless

Africa is like the continent just sitting and waiting to take over. You're right it is beautiful, and i hope to go to the 2010 World Cup there, in the South. Since countries like America have their hands tied in a lot of other countries for the moment, its easier to publicize Africa for the bad so people travel and spend money in places in which we can finacially benefit. Plus i doubt that money that government groups ask for to help the AIDS actually all goes there.
