What are you using, a Winzip or a Winrar? Which do you think is better? Can you share your ideas and experience? Thanks!

If you download binarys, you will come to a load of exotic packers. 7zip can handle already a lot,e.g. put together 49er binarys. It also handles most of common packed files.

I'll try binarys...
Compression tools are always welcome for me...

Winrar for sure buddy...
Have used both.WinRAR works on zip files but winZIP doesn't work for rar files.
If u want a good compressor, try 'kgb archiever', It compresses a lot. I downloaded a game in kgb format which took 2 days to decompress and it wasn't even a 100mb
Am not kidding buddy....

I have been winrar for years but I started winzip before winrar. Winrar is more useful and most use in my office. In torrent downloaded, winrar are coomonly use so I prefer winrar.

That's a good question. I dont think there are really major differences but I use WinRAR just because I got used to it. And I recommend my friends WinRAR just because it installs super fast. We have WinZip at school ... Think I will ask my teacher why they use WinZip and why not WinRAR.

I have used both. Also 7 Zip which is both combined really. I think Winzip is slower. Maybe it depends on the version you're using though. I think I should go for Winrar. It's faster and easy to use. Hope that helps!
