She was smart and adventurous. She was loyal to family and friends. Her honesty was evident and her desire to see others put before herself is admirable. One of my favorite traits, though, is her writing ability. I love writing myself and reading is a passion.

One thing I really like about Jessica is her general attitude. She is a kind, calm and caring woman. Even when confronting the murderer, she keeps her emotions in check and doesn't show disgust or anger. There have only been a few times where she has yelled out of anger.
Also, when dealing with various police officers or detectives who don't treat her with respect, she will remain courteous and pleasant and doesn't resort to insulting them or acting rude.
And of course, there is the fact that Jessica is very smart and perceptive. She thinks about all possibilities and doesn't focus on just the obvious clues.

Yes, she is quite an interesting character and it often amazes me the type of drama that she can drum up and how intense she gets, and how she solves the murders so well. Many people could learn a thing or two from her, and it is Good to see that there are still reruns of this show on even today.
