The Holiday

I liked the movie too, but I don't think that in real life I could ever trust a complete stranger enough to be in my home with all my belongings and such. I think I'd worry too much and wouldn't be able to enjoy my vacation. It does sound exciting, a very good concept and all, but definitely not for me. Do you know anyone personally that has tried it? Would you ever do it?

I saw that movie also and thought it was very cute. I have wondered the same thing. My husband and I are going on vacation in July and we live near Chautauqua Lake. He suggested that we rent out our house to someone for the week we are gone. We have a large yard in the country. We also have a hot tub, swimming pool, playground area and tennis courts~ all the things we were looking for in the condo we are renting. Anyways, I don't think I would trust a stranger to come into my home. I have new furniture and would be afraid they would ruin it. And what do you do if they steal from you or break your stuff? It is a good idea, but there are many downfalls.
