Will you kill to save your family?

Don't take this question on bad note, but recently I faced an interview & I was asked a question by the interviewer "What would you do if somebody tried to rape a sister in front of you?"
Actually, I told him that I am a non-violent guy & follow Mahatma Gandhi as my idol. That's why he asked me this question & I said that I would kill that guy if it comes to my family. He just said me that every person would do this & you should think twice before selecting anybody as your idol, bcoz Mahatma Gandhi is too big a person, and he rejected me in the interview.
Now coming back to question, would you say or do lik me, i.e. kill when it comes to save your family?

If that was the only way to save my sister I would kill. Especially for my sister because I don't think she would ever get over something like that happening to her. I would do anything to protect my family. I wouldn't want to have to kill someone but if that is what it takes I would.

Hi ravin! Actually I wanted to know that is your family so important for you that you break all the limits & kill someone. My interviewer did not like my answer, maybe bcoz I did not give the right answer or I did not frame it properly. But yes, family comes first.
