i am a liverpool fan and i am quite confident my predictions is right. Chelsea to win it, liverpool in second, arsenal in 3rd and man u in 4th. man u has now lost 2 games to top 4 team in arsenal and liverpool. they lost owen hargreaves which is easily their best defensive midfielders. i think berbatov is over-rated and C.ronaldo has a big challenge to match his performance last year so i do not think they are good enough to win. esp after the cup exit for chelsea and liverpool really confirm my suspicion that they had it all planned and are going for the league this year

In football you win the title playing against the "little" teams, those team that do not play to be champions...if you see the english premier league, you have 20 teams, 4 main favorites teams right? So do the maths , if you win 38 matches you get 114 points, but imagine you lose against the three other major favorites, all six games you lose 18 points, so at the end 114-18 = 96, enough points to be champion ;)
The premier league is a marathon, not a 100 meter sprint ;)

I'm a big fan of Man United and I'm not afraid of the potential of my team to winning the trophy again this season. But I really impress with new Totenham Hotspur team under Harry Redknap. They has never lost in every match they played in EPL and latest Carling Cup match defeat Liverpool.

As a Liverpool fan I would love to see Man U win the Championship as it would mean they would have been relegated from the Premier League

well, the contenders for wining epl this are liverpool, chelsea, arssenal and manutd. the chances of wining championship for manutd are looking weak for the movement. still the fab 4 have the chance to win but for the movement liverpool and chelsea are leading the race. there are lot of teams in epl which can beat manutd on there day. not only manutd they can also beat the fab 4 on there day.

I think Chelsea will regain the title due to their squad depth. Liverpool will get a few injuries and they don't have much in reserve. Arsenal is pot luck really, great squad buy maybe not this year.

In the english premier League you have 4 teams that are known as the favourites to win the championship. In first hand you have Manchester United, holding the title, after them there's chelsea, and 3rd and 4th you have liverpool and Arsenal.
talking about each one in separeted.
Manchester United, they kept almost all the team and only hired 1 player Berbatov. They got a good goalkeeper, two excellent centre defenderes, a good midlefield and great attackers. In my opinion, manchester should hire 3 players to compensate the squad irregularity. They need 2 great wingbacks(one left and other right) and midlefielder like pirlo or something, capable of building their one game and destroying the others team.I think Owen Hargreaves and Carrick are'nt the type of player for manchester.
Chelsea, The Team that has the million$. This year they hired a new Coach, Scolari, and to pump up confident in the players he is the best i've seen.Chelsea has a very strong team but they don't have anybody to play as a Wing Forward. The injurie of essien is also a problem for Scolari.Chelsea loses some velocity because they play with to many midlifieldrs centre, but the wingbacks also compensate them.Deco and Bosigwa were good "findings".
Liverpool, they also kept the basis of the team, and very honetstly their surprising me. Daniel agger as shown he is a great defender, but maybe liverpool should buy a player for the place left open of Riise. Now that Fernando torres is back, it is going to be interesting.
Arsenal, Arsene wenger's kids last year showed everybody that they knew how to play, but the lack of experience and a very long season using the same players, showed also the world that they needed backup players. While Rosicky is injured, Fabregas is a little lone in the midlefield, specially with the losses of flamini and Hleb.Maybe they should get a better keeper(i don't like almunia) and a "man" to help fabregas in the midlefield.Denilson is still learning.
This year also very interesting will be to see who is the best scorer.Robinho and Anelka started well, but F. Torres, Ronaldo and Adebayour won't just sit and watch ;)
happy mylotting
