Would you go for a low impact exercise?

Working out would always mean sweating it out. But is it the only way to burn all those calories? There are exercise programs that claim you can lose weight and tone muscles without going to the gym or by just merely sitting on a bench or chair. And there is one program claiming you can get fit when all you need is a set of dumbbells. Which is more effective ?

There are programs out there that do claim you do not need to sweat or lift weights or anything to lose weight. One of the programs out there is Shapely Secrets, which I have heard works, however I am skeptical because it is "motionless exercise." I think the best type of exercise is a cardio program that makes you sweat, because then you know you are burning the calories, and it helps strengthen your heart as well.
If you are doing a low impact exercise then you are only targeting one area of your body at a time. It is more effective and burns more calories to target multiple areas of your body at the same time.
