Overnight Tuesday I was bitten by a bug. This is not a bad bite though. I will survive. Actually this bite is a good type of bite I feel as most here would feel as well I hope. I actually hope that most members here have been bitten recenrtly by this bug. It is the Holiday Spirit Bug I speak of. Yup as you can see from my attatched photo I have been bitten by the Holiday Spirit. This is my usual winter cap for the holiday season which I wear often. It snowed last night here in Minnesota and with my lights on outside it looked so Chrsitmassy so I dug out my hat. Now this will be my new avatar until the Holidays are over. So do you wear a christmas stocking hat like this during the holidays? Do you own one even? Are you in the mood yet for the Holiday?

I believe I already mention about my hat..I wear mine when my hair is wet and it is cold..I started doing this years ago when I had the flu and realized wearing the Santa hat had made me better warm even though I was running a fever..So when I am sick or cold, I wear it, but not outside my house, this is for inside only..

I don't wear those hats but I know people that do and I love them!! I am sooo not in the Christmas spirit yet, but I know I will be. Hearing Christmas carols right after Halloween kind of turns me off a bit, but once Thanksgiving is over, I'll be in full holiday mode. I think people tend to start way to early nowadays.

I am starting to get that bug, the first times in years, I am so happy for a change, I got my disability back, now it is permanent and they gave me a raise, I will also get the annual raise in January that will just be 10.00 a month but each little bit counts.

You were bitten overnight? Well I haven't been bitten yet, but I have been thinking about putting my Christmas tree up, now ain't that silly? I don't usually put it up till the middle of December, but I've been out shopping and I see all the Christmas stuff out, and the trees up in the stores, and its getting me in the mood for it..lol. That hat looks good on you, I don't have one yet. Have a good day

All it take each year is the first measurable snowfall actually.
Unless it was like 1991 when we got 4 feet of snow all on Halloween day.
Ughhh!
The whole city & surrounding suburbs were closed down for 3 days due to that storm.
Thanks. I love my Sanata hat.

Yes, we are starting to get into the Holiday mood as well. Tomorrow is the official kick-off of the season in town. I still have to hang up our lights and stuff. Just have been very busy this year. And I have such a santa hat and so do all three of my kids. They love to wear it... I do sometimes, lol. Hope you can enjoy a happy and peaceful holiday season;)

No I am not a christmas hat wearer! I would not say that I am quite in the spirit yet, I will I expect once I have completed all the christmas shopping and have all the food and drink in ready then I will be able to sit back and relax. I have also got to figure out how I am going to decorate my room this year I quite fancy new decorations and a moderny theme.

Oh bumer in a few ways.
I need to be in the spirit before I can seriously shop for gifts etc.
I had been out a lot window shopping but never felt ready for gift buying.
Now I just have that feeling I NEED to go shopping.

Hi there Grandpa Bob. I too have been bitten by this "nasty" bug for a while now - i just bought some of the Christmas gifts today, and some other gifts the last days as well, i still have many left to buy, but it's a good start. I checked out the hypermarket next to my home and they also started putting the Christmas stuff in it. Another supermarket in the area has already decorated it's Christmas Tree.
Merry Christmas !

I love Christmas. I thought it was a bit early to start decorating the house with tinsel, but you have really put me in the mood to get out all my lights and things out and test them. Yes I have a lovely hat like yours and I have one that lights up and plays music. I used to wear it to work. I am going to get out all my Christmas things soon and light up my home and garden. I will post up some photographs to let you see. I am excited now. I love Christmas.

We were lucky this summer here in Minnesota as we did not have as many skeeters. It was pretty dry so they did not have the areas to breed as usual. Still got bit a lot though not as much. Thanks also for your time here in my discussion.

I'm just now beginning to get in the Holiday mood. I still want to buy a Grinch fuzzy hat and wear it for a few weeks though, just to get a rise out of everyone. I did have a really nice santa hat...until the kittens discovered it a couple of weeks ago and practically chewed off the pom pom on the end of it. Now I have to go and buy a new one and keep it hidden. LOL

Love the titles I come up with huh?
Why not wear the hat?
I donated a lot of money already to Salvation Army so I got an early start on my giving to others not in the family. We do this each year as they helped us when we were in dire needs for the holidays when our kids were small.
Thanks also. I love my Santa hat.

hi its interesting that you would say this because I am not that interested in getting ready for christmas and actually with the slumping economy it is going to be troubling times for anyone who wants to binge shop on high ticket items so I am probably going to get ready for the holidays around the beginning of december
