How many of you want to sing but could not?

Oh, I want to sing too bubblyaapple but sad to say that I can't really sing. Although I am not out of tune but I don't possess a voice that could capture the hearts of everyone, lol! I am a frustrated singer anyway.

I would love to be able to sing beautifully, but I just don't. I can carry a tune, but there's no quality to my voice. That, however, does not stop me from singing.

I've got a decent voice and for awhile took lessons to improve it. My instructor was very encouraging and said I had a good voice and with work could be better. I've always thought that if I had the chance I would sing, just never got the chance. Well, one time with some friends of a friend who was running a recording studio I got to be the singer for a demo record, and did ok. But when it came time to make the real record they went with someone who already had a name in the business to record it. Dang. Maybe some day I'll get up on stage for amature night? who knows.

I used to play guitar until I had to make a choice between food or guitar. I chose food for my kids at the time and sold it. I've been told I can sing quite well. I don't know if I'm hard on myself and all but I don't think I'm all that great. I've always sung to my children straight from birth, as babies it had a very calming effect on them when they were upset and still does. My youngest two actually ask for mama to sing when they are feeling upset or emotionally distraught or have a "booboo". It's almost like an emotional band aid for them.

:( I'm a diva stuck in the vocal cords of a hamster. HAHA oh wouldn't I love to have Kelly Clarkson's voice. I'm tone deaf - my sister always told me and I didn't mind not being the singer, because I had my own traits. But a wonderful voice would have been a pretty addition.
