What do you look for intially when looking for a spouse ?

I'll look for the personality. For me, appearance is not that important, wisdom is more important. When I first meet someone, the personality gives me the first impression too. Perhaps I can't judge the person 100% by the first impression, but some people you just don't feel he's trustful or responsible when you first meet him or talk to him.

very simple. if time comes that i would have a wife, she must be responsible. thats it.

I am always attracted to person with a down to earth character. He must be somebody who is a good listener, and not a good speaker. I hate good speaker because to me a talker is a selfish person who only thinks of himself. I often met people who talk a lot, but they do not have any listening skills. In other words, everything that happen around them are all about them, and them only. A good listener is usually empathic and understands my feelings. The same thing with my husband when we first met. He listens a lot and he understands what I said. I admit that there are times when he doesn't listen, but humans are humans so. Sometimes when we are tired we tend not to listen too, isn't it? About physical attraction, I think a little of that influences my choice too. I prefer a guy with thick eye brows because I think this is sexy. I also like big eyed guys because to me it is romantic. Other than that, I like dark guys. To me dark guys are more masculine because they are out goers, that's why their skin is tan.

Someone who can make me smile and laugh...and someone who can accept my daughter as if she was his own. I found that in my husband and he has more qualities than I ever asked for.

Initially I am looking for an intelligent person and can present himself very well I am not particular at looks. If they look good that would be a plus factor only.

i do ageet physical features convey somthing about their deeper qualities,but not totally.in a wold ,only long time's observation can make us kown about somebody exactly,sometimes do not tust the one who only concer for himself at the cost of other's benifts.

Personality and then intelligence.

I don't think that actual features covey too much, but I am very aware of how people carry themselves. If I were in the market I would pay close attention to how a man carries and presents himself because that can speak volumes about what kind of person they are. I would look for someone who has a sense of self confidence without coming across as smug. I am also attracted to men who are out going (but not annoying) and well put together. Oh, and good teeth, hair and skin are also big pluses!
