My sincere thanks to MyLot for the assistance provided in recovering my MyLot account after my email accounts got hijacked last month. It took some time to get all my email accounts recovered and lots of emails to all the accounts affected by the hacker but it was definately worth the effort.
I am So Glad to be back!

Yes, at the end of last month. It has been a horrible experience and I have lost a few accounts and even a few payouts, but I am very very glad that MyLot wasn't one of them. Luckily I have been able to gather some information about the hacker and may have even gotten a few of his accounts cancelled. Needless to say that I've been reporting all the information he left behind when he started changing my profile information, including email addresses, egold account number and IP address and have been taking notes and screenshots as I go for the police reports. The authorities don't take it lightly when it comes to identity theft.

Glad to have you back paid! I got hacked a little while ago myself, although it wasn't connected to MyLot. Somehow, a nigerian 419 scammer had gotten to my e-mail and sent out one message. They even changed the password! Luckily, I had that account attached to another one, and also a friend told me about the e-mail that had been sent out. It took less than thirty minutes on between the phone and online to get things situated again.

Thank You! Very good to be back again. Wish I would have been as fortunate. If PayPal hadn't alerted me to a password change request, I could have lost much more than I did. PayPal was the only one that a phone call worked for. All the rest required support tickets, emails and of course proof of the claim. I'm glad I was taking notes as I went, but I think I made the hacker mad when I reported one of his email addresses to PayPal because it got much worse after that. He even left emails for me in my sent and draft folders and signed them "Iranian Hacker".

I would loved to have found a phone number for yahoo since that's where the hacker has his email accounts. I actually even set up an account with yahoo so I could report the member for abuse (identity theft) but even that email account got hijacked so I don't know if they ever replied. I only knew one of his email accounts at the time so maybe they actually deactivated him there too. I did notice the email address changed after reporting the first one to yahoo, paypal and many others.

Yeah. This was a yahoo account. I didn't realize anything was wrong until my friend sent me an e-mail. I have the messenger up so I saw it come in. When I saw who it was from I sent her an IM asking what was up, because the e-mail that it went to I almost never use. She told me about the e-mail. I went to the account to find out what was wrong, to find out my original password for it did not work. I went to my primary e-mail in outlook, and found an e-mail stating that my password had been changed. After a whole bunch of searching, I found the phone number for customer support, since I couldn't go the regular avenues of support tickets and whatnot. Anyway, all it was was a password change, and I was set. Of course I sent an e-mail out to the real people (all six of them lol) that were in my address book stating that it was a scam e-mail.
I guess I was very lucky in this case. The e-mail they hacked into was for the most part inactive, very few contacts really. If it was another account where I may have had the e-mails of more live people, it could have been a true mess, and I would have had to do a lot more apologizing.

Thanks! Happy to be back. As a wife and mother, I rarely get to take it easy but the week after she passed WAS spent in a bit of a fog.

I'm glad you're back, also. It's great that myLot is well equipped to deal with situations like this.
Getting hacked is a great fear of mine. I actually go so far as to use different usernames and passwords for all of my online accounts, but I don't think I'll ever feel truly secure. Hopefully your hacker will have to pay for his actions...if you don't mind me asking, was this a random thing or had you run into this person online before?
