Perhaps the oldies here in myLot can confirm.
Have noticed that there are some people who "lift" (read: copy) a topic from one interest (e.g. parenting) and then start it as a new discussion on another (e.g.mother).
Do you notice that too? Well, maybe it's just me. lol

Unless I am much mistaken this is directly forbidden in the Mylot rules. I suggest you report them whenever you come across this practice.

I'm not the oldies in myLot, but I'd to share my thoughts in this discussion ^^
And no, it's not just you. I notice that, too. Some even start the same discussion in the same interest a few moments later. Maybe they haven't got satisfying answer(s) or just love to start the same discussion over and over again ^,^

I have not seen this but it is against the guidelines and if you do see it then you can report it to Mylot and they will investigate. It clearly states in the TOS not to copy discussions more than once or to put them in different discussion areas.
Although only someone with 500 plus posts can copy and paste, anyone can copy the text and retype it. A bit of a pain but quite possible.

This type of activity is not limited to myLot Other sites past and present also suffer from the actions of this type of people. Maybe they do not realise their actions are tarnishing the image of this site. As it is you are already feeling uncomfortable. Maybe it is best that plagiarised discussions are left alone and a report is made to myLot I have not actually seen this happening on myLot since I have been active for less than a week though I became a member some time ago What I have met the same answer being given by the same person to two discussions. myLot has asked us to be vigilant and help them so I suggest you make a report to them.
Do not let these people drive you away from myLot.

Hellow Slash23,
I am not oldies but i want to express my view regarding that matter. If you have seen one the best thing to do is to report it to MyLot moderator because that is a form of cheating, stealing others' ideas and claiming it as their own. A form of plagiarism if i may say.
I am hoping that all mylotters will be intelligent enough in sharing their own thoughts and ideas.
Too bad!
