How do you face a person who tease you?

I don't think a person teasing to degrade another person deserves a respect... I will just smile and talk to somebody else as if he/she doesn't exist..

I think people who degrade other people are nothing more than bullies. I used to get into fights with bullies because I like to defend the little people. I myself am small of stature but my spirit is great and I have whupped a few bullies in my time to convince them the error of their ways; keep them from being bullies at least while I am around. Cheers!!

Ignore them ...that will annoy them more when they will see that its not affecting you whatsoever and then they will stop and find someone else....

You're right. Sometimes as friends we can tease each other and it can be in good fun. It isn't so nice when it is somebody like a higher up especially a boss who can degrade you or make a downplay at you in front of other people. This has happened to me. It happened a while ago but I don't forget about it. It can really hurt someone deeply when they feel demoralized. I don't find it professional at all and even people who aren't professional can make you feel like less of a person. I am not one who is very confrontational and I do wish that I could have approached some of these people to let them know that what they do is not right. It certainly does make me not want to respect them because they are not respecting me.

I and my friends are always teasing each other for fun, same with me and my hubby. Yes sometimes we encounter those people who are higher than us in terms of position in one company or our teacher at school. I remember my teacher used to tease us his students everyday, then we teased him back in a respectful manner. We never use abusive words and vulgar, we maintain his standard that we are his students and he is our teacher. And if ever teased me to degrade me, i maybe tell to him that it's not funny anymore.He better stop teasing me before i lost my respect to him. Keep posting and myloting. Cheers.

I really don't mind if they tease me because I'm really game to jokes. But if already attack my family, then we have different story here. If you get irritated immediately on the people teasing you, they will have the impression that you're not approachable and easy to deal. ^^,
