Thus is interesting to me, because being a morning person I am up as early as 4.00 a.m. so unless I get a very early night I only get around 5 and a half hours sleep, which is probably not enough, but some days I feel ok with that, it depends. The best thing for me is probably to either get at least 6 to 7 hours a night or have a "nana nap" during the day for an hour or so.

If you are teenager, should be 10-8 hours sleep because this age still on the way developing there body.
if you are adult 8-6 hours a day to make balance your life.
You feel energetic by now, but soon later you feel the effect of not sleeping the right time we need. For woman, we need a 8 hour sleep to avoided winkles and early sign of aging, sleep are help our body to relaxed all day long in our work. According to studying about sleeping hobbies, found that people less sleep tend to be inpatient and easy to show a sign of aging rather than the people have a good sleep hobbies.

That is pretty cool that you used to sleep nine plus hours and you would always feel awful when you woke up,but now that you sleep five to six hours you wake up energetic in the mornings which is a good thing, and I think it is perfectly normal because even though I have heard that everyone needs eight hours of sleep each night to function properly, and that everyone needs to sleep at night,I do not think that it is correct,I think that how much sleep is required and the best time to sleep varies depending on each person, and each persons schedule and each persons genes that make them up,I have always been the type of person who has needed eight to twelve hours or else I am cranky when I wake up which is never good and people do not like being around me when I am tired and cranky, and I always had insomnia at night so I preferred to stay up all night and sleep during the day which was always better if you ask me,and now that I am with my fiance we still usually sleep about eight to twelve hours, even though my fiance can usually get by with less sleep than me,and she is usually watching television while I am sleeping and she will watch television for several hours until I get tired of sleeping and am ready to get out of bed,and we often stay on a night shift schedule and try to accomplish things during the night because it is easier to get things done at night when my mom is asleep and my dad is at work and the house is quiet, and then sleep during the day,now we are back on a day schedule where we are up during the day,and sleep at night, because we have so much to do,especially since we are trying to make money, save for our wedding, and plan our wedding which is set for September of next year.

Depends on your life style and what you do during the day.If you have a physical job you might need more sleep or a damanding job. It all depends on your age and what you have to do.My daugter likes her sleep she had two children five and four and she finds she is exhausted, but her five year old has been ill and coughs alnight and she goes to work as well so I have been looking after her during the day and I feel very exhausted and sleep well,at the moment. Normally eight hours is enough or otherwise I get very groggy. There is no exact amount it is all individual and you must go with what suits you.

Actualy I never really figured it out myself. Sometimes I sleep 4-6 hours a day and I feel good or I sleep about 12 hours and I'm extremely tired. It's so weird to me. I have the exact same thing as you but I think it has something to do on your pattern of how your eating.

I think 5 hours of sleep is already enough to keep you alive all day.
I haven't had a long sleep these days because of projects and deadlines.
Sometimes I don't even have time to sleep at night. But I cope up by
sleeping during the day. Hehe! You see, I am of the nocturnal type.
