Try taking a connection from your landline telephone company. They have very good tariff plans.I am having a broadband connection from my telephone company.I pay very less money.I get a download speed of 200 KBps and an upload speed of 26 KBps.

That's a problem with high speed internet..with a wired up service through phone lines (the most basic and accessible way),you need to be living close to your nearest broadband enabled exchange, otherwise you're out of range.Cable carries higher speeds, but only urban areas tend to be cabled up..I live in a village with no chance of cable networking for the foreseeable future..I had dialup on my phoneline ever since buying my first PC,and only in the last 2 years with line upgrades in the area manage to get 512k broadband..In the past month,I got a deal to go to 1mb broadband ,and went for it..Do you have good Cellphone reception where you are? There's now mobile broadband available (UK/Europe,anyway..)It's intended for laptops,(But I don't think there'd be a problem using it on a desktop machine with access to a signal but no land connection)so you can carry a laptop and get wireless broadband wherever you go there's a cellphone signal..Beware of this idea when roaming, though,as I've heard of business people getting majorly stung by billing travelling from one country to another! If Satellite is your only option for now,I hope it's worth the expense!
