i find that a lot of people have enlarged photos of themselves put up on the walls of their bedrooms. I wonder if it is alright to put up your own photos on your walls. Since yiou are physically present yorself, what is the use of putting up your own photos? Who is going to look at them in your bedroom except for you yourself. It is better to put picutres of yoru kids or some sceneries. Waht do you people feel?

I don't have photos up in my room, or most of my house, because we have calenders and stuff as decoration already. But if I did, I guess I could put my own picture up if its really professional or nice. Though, I would value having pictures of other people up in my own room. Perhaps me with my family or friends I would love, especially more of people - family or friends -I don't see often to remind me of our times together.

I have one wall in the living room that is a photo collage that represents my family tree. It has 6 generations of our family, all the way back to the mid 1800's. Then in the dining room I have another collage over the bureau of family and friends. I don't have any photos of myself (except for one small one), unless I'm in the picture with other family members. The one I do have with only me in it, is when I graduated from nursing school. There is only one picture that is large, and that is of my Dad in his fire chief's uniform at his retirement party. The scenery pictures are mostly from the farm here, there's one where I have our lake in all 4 different seasons from the same view.
I like to have lots of pictures, and I think it's wonderful to have those parts of life on display, and a good way to show your personality. Now that I'm way older, and can no longer do some of the activities I used to, it's nice to see myself with others doing things that I used to...like riding horses, or breaking horses, with my Dad. They are a reminder of how things were, and the people that we were at certain times of our life. I can't imagine not having any pictures around, the visual memories are wonderful!

Yes i have them on the walls in my family room. We are in an apartment so i try not to have them on many walls. I have photos of my son, me, and hubby. I also have one collage frames of various relatives and one collage frame of various friends. I only have one scenery hanging and its the view outside of my MIL home in the winter, a blanket of untouched snow on teh ground and on the evergreens...i had shown the photo to my grandmother after taking it and she just loved it, so for Christmas that year we blew it up to a 11x20 size and framed it...she had it on a wall behind wehre she always sat, so when she would get up she could look back at it. When grandma passed, i brought the picture here. It is above my desk just to the left, and many times i look up at it, i swear i can see grandmas face right underneath of it as if it was still in her home with her.

I don't have any pictures like that of myself. I do have a lot of photos of my fiance and I, and our daughter. I love getting my daughters pictures done. Someimes I just enlarge photos that I have taken myself that are really cute. I think it is better to have pictures of your loved ones around you. I really wouldn't want to stare at a picture of myself, I'd rather look at pictures of my daughter. We also get pictures done with our two dogs, so I like seeing those and seeing how much they have changed.

If it is a persons own home then they should put whatever they want on their walls. I personally hate seeing photos of myself but if I had a particularly nice one then yeah maybe I would get it blown up and put it on the wall! I would love to do one of my kids and when I get my house how I want then I reckon I will. I also love the scenery pics too, there are some really nice ones about these days, hard to know which one to go for really.
