I can understand if the apartment had more than one sprinkler head to change (like the corner apartments where there are about 4) or if they split into teams to cover each floor, but since we only have one sprinkler head, four guys just walked in our apartment to change it. Two are just standing around talking while the other two are making the changes - too funny! It took, at most, 10 minutes and now they're done and will be back to check on it a little later. Tommorrow they're sending another crew to patch and repaint the ceiling. These guys are actually nice and polite and were in and out very quickly. They got the job done! Have you experienced this before, where they send a few more contractors than expected, for a small job? LOL I find it funny! Thanks for sharing!

Actually, it kind of makes me suspicious. What are these two guys doing in apartments where the residents AREN'T home? They could get the whole job done faster if two were working in one apartment while the other two were working in another. So they are getting more money out of their client than necessary, no doubt, as they charge billing hours for four guys and taking twice as long to get the job done. They may have been polite, but I'm guessing the property owners wouldn't be too pleased if they knew this when they receive their bill.

I didn't want to be suspicious but I did think that too. I wasn't sure if my neighbor across from me was home today, so after they left, I stood by the peephole and watched to see if she was home. I don't know how the owners and building management arrange things like this but I would think the owners are aware because I know issues like this are talked about at their monthly meetings.

As long as management or someone pasy the will send out as many men as they can afford to pay. I've worked in the area of property management/caretakers and have done this myself. If management will pay for 4 men to do a one man job then we'd hire that many. Better off having too many as opposed to not enough man power I say. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Good points there Grandpa Bob. I'm not paying for it but the landlord might be through condo fees (not sure) but at least the job gets done :) thanks for responding!
