My discussion about if going to church on Sunday makes one a good Christian has gotten many good responses. I'd like to expand a bit more on why we all attend service, and why we choose the church we go to. A few months back I came to the conclusion that I needed to return to a church. BUT, I did not want to return to a Catholic church, as it was much to regimented and structured for my tastes. A friend of mine recommend a church that some friends of his once attended, and as it turned out, it is only a couple of miles from where I live. I started going, and really liked it. I liked the people, the fact that it was a small community (only about 100-150 members. I found that they had small bible study groups which was a good thing. I also liked their mission, which is to help those in need in the community. We go once a month to serve dinner at an area mission. We also provide filled backpacks to needy school children every September. We donate food to a community food pantry as well. We also support mission work in Haiti. This next Sunday we are taking up a collection to buy turkeys for needy familys that the food cupboard supports. ' I also have been made to feel very comfortable and welcome by the people there. They new I was a new follower, and learner. After about a month, the pastor called me aside just before bible study and gave me a bible..he said one of the members wanted me to have it. It was a brand new bible that this person paid for themselves. I thought that was great.

going to church is the right thing especially on Sundays. The bible even said that honour the sabbath day and keep it holy. going to church is one of the best times that we have to appreciate God, the most high for keeping us thus far.
