Today was my officemate's birthday party. She invited me in their drinking session right after work. I said I'll try to see if I can because I'm not really into drinking and that I have so many things to do. Then when it was time to go there, I told them including those who joined her that I will not be able to because of the these reasons. And everybody was teasing me I was KILL JOY. I felt off because It's my choice not to go and they don't care about it. DO YOU THINK I WAS BEING KILL JOY?^^,

You are certainly not a kill joy. If you did not want to drink or even go, these people should of respected your wishes.
You told them that you where busy too. I hate that. I hate being forced to do something I do not want. You had more courage than me as I would of went to keep the peace. I am glad you stuck to your decision.
You where not a kill joy. Do not worry about that.

No you are not. Anyways, just do not mind them, you already have had a dose of peer pressure when you were in high school and college, and why would you let them affect you when I believe most of them are old enough to understand that there are just times one can not join a social event.

Nope.. U are not.. Firstly, u are not into drinking type of person, so it's prefectly normal for u to reject them.. Secondly, she only invited u on the day itself, and so u cant cancel all your appointments for the day, just because of her right??
SO, u are definitely not being KIll JOy.. ACtually they are the ones, for they din organise the whole things early, and it's actually her fault.. She just take for granted that, it's her birthday, so she should be calling all the shots.. haha
