I just download soundtrack for one of my favorite movies Constantine with Keanu Reeves. I was so excited to listen to it because I liked the music with the movie together. But after few songs I was quite disappointed I realized the reason I liked the music was probably because it flash out the movie and alone it is not that great.
What about you do you like soundtrack music? Do you listen to it or do not prefer it?

I do like soundtrack music but I suppose it depends largely on the type of film it is. My favourite soundtrack has to be the album which accompanied the punisher film. There are just so many brilliant bands which featured on that film also how can I forget Queen of the damned which is equally just as good and features artists like disturbed.

Soundtrack music is the SH#t! before I got into downloading music, mostly because I had a dial up internet connection,I used to hear a song in a movie that I liked, and I had to get stuck buying the whole cd just for that one song. Either that or I would pray that someone had the cd so I could copy it. But now I just download whatever song I like when I hear it. There's nothing wrong with soundtrack music. It's still music. The one song I just downloaded a few months ago was from this group called THE VERVE. They had a song called Bitter Sweet Symphony in the movie called Cruel Intentions. It played at the very end, and I remember the first time I heard that song I went nuts.

Year ago... after watching Titanic... i immediately went out to buy the soundtrack... since i love the main song by Celine Dion... and the music made by the band before they drowned... but the only music i found in the sound track was "My Heart Will Go On"... so i was pretty disappointed...

Soundtrack music can be good. I am a child of the 80's. There were some neat soundtracks that came out at that time. I have noticed some movie music is harder to find on cd than one might think.

I was actually really impressed with the soundtrack. The opening song, "Supermassive Black Hole" by Muse is a great way to start out. Both songs by Paramore ("Decode" and "I Caught Myself") are amazing, but who is actually surprised by that? I like that they included Linkin Park's "Leave Out all the Rest." In my opinion, it's one of their best songs. My personal favorite is "Eyes on Fire" by Blue Foundation. It's not for everyone, but I think it's great.
Now I just have to comment on the two tracks that everyone seems to be bashing to pieces. Yes, Robert Pattison isn't the greatest singer in the world, but he's decent, and the song itself is gorgeous in it's simplicity. The guitar work is pretty damn good. And why is everyone bashing Carter Burwell's "Bella's Lullaby?" It's the most beautiful piano piece I've heard in years. Yes, it's different from the songs that fans picked to represent it, but come on! If you get rid of your preconceived notions and listen to it strictly as a piano piece, you'll see ...
The other songs on the soundtrack are, well, average. But on the whole, it's a great album. Better than the book that inspired it.

My favorite sound track has to be a toss up between Dirty Dancing and Moulin Rouge. I own both of them and can listen to them over and over again.
