My computer is a 3.20 GHz Pentium 4, 3.00 GB RAM, 700GB hard drive, 19" LCD monitor, wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. I put this together myself 2 years ago.

The ASUS P5P800 motherboard has four slots for RAM. I first started with two 512MB DDR1, then when DDR1 was available as 1GB, I bought two of them and installed them. If I wanted I would remove the smaller 512MB boards, then install two more 1GB boards and have a total of 4GB RAM. This is an advantage of building your own computer, as long as you know what you are doing.

I bought this laptop back in February:
Acer Aspire 7520G
AMD Turion 64 x2 Dual Core Processor
1.9 GHz
3 GB DDR2
160GB HDD
17" WXGA+ LCD
GeForce 8400M G TurboCache
I don't really want a new one currently. I'm very satisfied with this one.

My computer is fairly new (barely a year old). It's got an Intel Core Duo 1.6GHz running on 1 gigabyte of DDR1 memory. It has a 160-GB hard drive, a DVD Writer capable of burning and reading dual-layer DVD-Rs. It also has a Realtek soundcard and a shared SiS video card. I hope to change that one in the near future though.
