should I do anything or NOT

I have just recently, like 4 months ago, made friends with an older lady. She is like someone in a dream. She is kind, caring, hard working, loves life, and has a farm with lots of kritters. My delema is that she has this farm with cows, a mustang horse, chickens, geese and several cats, dogs, and house birds. The problem is she loves all these animals like kids but the kind of care given is substandard. I really feel for all these animals as I am an animal lover too and I wish she could care for them better. You see she is also elderly and disabled. I don't know what to do to help her? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

the best thing you can do is go over and do what you can for the animals. feed them, clean up after them, whatever. i know that is something that she would really love and something she is going to need. when ever you have free time go over and help out. and if you have a few friends who are animal lovers too bring them along

you are more then welcome. I would see if you can get some friends to come over and help. or do like a fund rasier to get some money together to help her out. good luck with your friend and just know things will work out

Have you tried to discuss it with her? If u havent it would be a good time to do so cuz the animals could die and could get into trouble for that kind of thing. And those animals dont need to suffer if they are being taken care of right. She really needs ur help to take of this matter before anything bad happens

Like I said we are new to this friendship and I don't want to lose her or insult her as a friend. I did check these animals out the last time I was there and none of them are in immediate danger or in bad health so far.

If it were me here is what I would do...... One or two days a week I would bring a crew of my family and friends....maybe a group of people from church, and go to this womans home and help her to care for the home and animals. My church has many people that would be willing to help in this situation. Maybe there would be some loving families in your church that would like to do it as a family. Or maybe even some loving friends could just take turns doing it. Like one family each day just go and help this lady out. But, you will find some that will not do it for nothing, but thats ok, there are many more who will find enough satisfaction in knowing that they have helped this little lady. Good luck and God Bless~

Maybe you could call the SPCA and explain the situation to them. They would try to work with the lady to do what is best for the animals.

Oh, Butterfly6135... I don't know what your age is. If she is "elderly and disabled," then since you are an animal lover, perhaps you might want to think about helping her take care of her animals. It's a "friend" thing. And, I question your true concern if you come to myLot for an answer. Just help her take care of her animals. And, remember this: One day you will be her age, unless, of course, you leave the planet before your time. Please take care of her, her animals, and yourself.

What a nice old lady but she is not coping so it is up to you , could you get some volunteers to help her out as it is so much work for you on your own if the animals are reallys suffering have a word with an animal charity and see if they can help,If she has a lot of land she might come to an arrangement with the animal charity as these place are always on the look out for extra room for their animals , the old lady can keep her animals and the charity will have extra room.I hope this is of use to you.xxx
