The Washington State Supreme Court today ruled on Anderson V. King County or, as you may know it, the challenge to Washington’s “Defense of Marriage Act”
This is a truly extraordinary ruling, for a variety of reasons: the importance of the case, both in-state and nationwide, is obvious; it’s a highly emotional subject matter; the number of opinions in the case is quite unusual, and, finally, the specific personal references made by the Justices, in the opinions, regarding each Justice and the quality of their work. Whats your take on it?
