...u think theyre not doing theyre job?
Here what happen..my cousin got confined to a known hospital here in Cebu. I wasnt there when he's at the ER, they dont know any doctor, so they went ahead and choose doctors on the list. He's suffering abdominal pain, have fever and is vomiting and diarrhea. At first i thought maybe he's got Amoebiasis with the symptoms he is showing.
We went ahead and admitted him to the hospital, hes had Ultrasound and went on NPO for the rest of the day. That night his doctor( female doctor ) came and checked on him. I asked whats the finding after the ultasound, she said that hes got inflammed apendix and some stones on his kidney, he might get operated.
Now, its been 2 days and my cousin Jacob is still feeling the abdominal pain, they didnt gave him any pain reliever and no sure findings from the doctor. We are already starting to get mad and on the verge of getting her doctor off the case and get a new one.
Yesterday afternoon, my brother went and checked the itemized hospital bill, it went sky-high and we wondered because we didnt see them did anything to our patient to cure him. My brother went back to the billing section and asked the complete bill with the Doctor's TF and said that were going to transfer our patient to another hospital, which it also happens that my cousin is there nearby. she panicked when she heard and went and visited my cousin every 2 hours.
I mean, we didnt want to get another doctor but the fact that my cousin is already confined for 2 days and they cant give a finding, and theyre not doing anything, had lots of lab work and still finding?
would u do the same thing??

Hmm I guess you can only hope that the reason is not that it is a complicated and serious condition...I guess medical conditions can be a very complicated thing, but I think I would have to start thinking about a second opinion....

Sometimes in a situation like this, with appendix and kidney infections, they have to wait and bring the infection down before they can do any kind of surgery, and sometimes pain killers make things worse in this area. It is a good idea, however, to get a second opinion from another doctor. I am sorry that your cousin is having health problems.
