Ateneo de Davao University will impose its ban on wearing flipflops inside its 3 campuses.
Well, I think it is just appropriate to limit ourselves wearing "slippers" in formal places. Although, I do not wear flipflops myself is places like this,I think it is very comfortable. The Havaianas brand has become a status symbol, especially for the nannies...wearing one means you're "in". But I wear mine at home only...my friends wear it even in informal parties.
Parents are mad at the new rule...do you think the Jesuit priests are reasonable to ban flipflops in their campuses? This is for the parents.nannies only because definitely students are not allowed to wear anything else except for black shoes.
Parents and nannies are adults who should be left on their own to decide what to wear...what do you think?

What do they expect a nanny to wear, a prada sandals? They should just mind their own business. If they want to impose that kind of ridiculous rule, why don't they provide shoes for every single people going inside that university! Lol

Why do they even care? I don't get it. If parents and nannies prefers to wear flipflops in the campus it's really none of the university's business. OMG I would take that so personally if I were one of those parents who regularly goes to that university. What's up with Havaianas flip flops by the way? I only wear them in my kitchen and they get dirty so fast it bothers me. lol I wonder why it bothers them so much though. I think they're better off placing their noses somewhere else. That kind of strictness is totally ridiculous!
