what i don't understand is why are so many whites that go to my school against obama. i live in the south & many whites are angry that he became president. what i want to know is what is the big deal of having an African American as president. Personally i believe change is a good thing. Several students at my high school is against him. Why has racial discrimination led to this. Students write negative remarks on school buildings. Many of them believe hes going to get assassinated. What i want to know is what kind of parent would inflict that kind of idea or even suggest that to their child. WHAT KIND OF ENVIRONMENT ARE WE LIVING IN TO PROMOTE SUCH HATRED.after all he is half white. I believe obama can bring change to our society. WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER BUSH! WE NEED CHANGE! there is no red state or blue state only THE UNITED STATES. and we need unity! so why is there so much commotion over obama! obama has brought hope and and faith to people every where. obama made every1 believe that anything is possible regardless of race or ethnicity, hence the saying (yes we can)

If everyone felt the same as you, what a wonderful world we would be living in. It is so unfortunate that some people feel the need to demonstrate hate because of who is going to be our next president. I do not believe there was this much discord when any of the other presidents were elected. The elections are over, it is what it is and everyday I hear such hateful things being done to non white citizens. It has to stop, what do some of these people promoting hate want, ANOTHER CIVIL WAR?

I agree. There are a lot of racists on the world, no matter what color you are. I think Obama will do good as a president and I'm glad he won. I just hope that Obama does so well that those racists see that dark people aren't bad at all. Of course the same thing for dark people who hate white people.
