Barack Obama - What happened to the frenzy after the election?

Before the election in the United States, barack obama and the other candidates have flooded the internet specially the social networking site digg.com. But now, why is it that people stopped talking about him.
He is a good guy talking to different leaders across the globe. Is it alright for him to be talking to other leaders when the term of Pres. Bush has not yet formally ended?

Sure, it's more than alright for Obama to be talking to leaders
of other countries. He needs to get their "truthful" opinion on
things and do everything he can to quieten this turmoil that
Bush has started world-wide.
