We know that it is still different if we are the one using our own laptop. We really handle it with care. But others are using it, we tend to tell them to take care of the machine and we come to look for it from time to time while they're using it.
Are you confident to lend you laptop/pc to others?

I don't think I would be comfortable sharing my laptop with anyone else.

You may have a good reason for that.
I have friends that usually complain after somebody else borrows their computer. Some are just paranoid but some are just so disappointed to what happened to their machine. I have a friend whose laptop's key on the board just got detached. I also have a friend whose computer accessory lost some important parts. I'm sure they will think again if they would allow their machine to be borrowed next time.

My friend lets me use her laptop. But everytime she lets me use it, it has some problems so I have to fix it for her. When I return it, my friend would be very happy.

That's good. Having a laptop doesn't mean that you know everything to fix any problem on it. It's an advantage you know to fix it. It will be easier for you to borrow it next time.

I just leave my laptop when someone borrows it. It is usually watching movie why they borrow my laptop. I am confident that nothing bad will happen with my laptop.
Its operating system is Linux so it's fine with me whatever secondary devices they connect to it.

Nope, It is really hard because my computers are my precious things. LOL. I can lend my desktop and laptop computer only when I am around. It is better that i accidentally damage my hardware computer parts or software applications rather than the person borrowing the computer from me. It it more convenient that way. I am not very confident enough to let other use my desktop and laptop if I am not around.

Me too. I am very anxious when someone borrows my laptop and I won't be around to look after it. The laptop is not really mine. It is issued to me by my company. And I will be responsible for anything that can happen while they're using the computer. Also, it is very precious to me. I almost bring it to anywhere I went to.

I guess you really trust your friends. :)
It is also my friends who usually borrow my laptop. They love watching movies and they borrow my laptop for that. I am not really into movies and I just leave them most of the time while watching.

I see.
In my case, I should be open for everything I put on my laptop. It is like I own it but in reality, it is still my company who owns it. I am a programmer and my company issues laptops to every employee. I was shocked during my first day at work when I didn't expect that I will be using a brand new laptop and can install any software I want on it.
