It is nothing but the himoglobin levels are less than 10. Iron suppliments to be taken along with the green vegitbles & seaonal fruits. It is imortant that howmuch our body absorbes. our sytem intake conditions are not good, the most of the iron suppliments will be excrited (i.e the stool will look black).
For iron obserption, vitamin "D" is must, along with good excercise & better digesition system

Yes I know what anemia is; but I am asking what types of food other then those I have already listed are good for anemia..
Exercise is great..but if your anemic you need to build yourself up so you can even do that..

Personally from what I have read and have seen, that anemia can be dangeous if left untreated, so if you or a loved one is dealing from this the Best thing is to get something as soon as possible. For me, that is things like Oatmeal that seems to work about the Best so you need to find something for you, and resolve to do whatever it takes to get your anemua back under control better as well.

well it depends what kind of anemia is it is..most anemias have nothing to do with nutrients or iron deficincies..here are only 3 types of anemia that are related to nutrient deficiency...iron deficiency anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency anemia and Folate deficiency anemia...red meat and vegetables takes care of these 3..unless your body has other diseases that prevents the absorption of iron, folate and B12 [such as disease that cause malabsorption]

It is important to have further testing if you are anemic all the time because it can be a sign of internal bleeding or a metabolic disorder. My body doesn't break down the vitamins right and it crashed about a year ago. I had a heart attack at the age of 34 and only after they ran a bunch of tests did they find metabolic disorder. I have to take vitamin b12,folate and iron every day now. I also found that my body is doing better since I changed to an iron fortified cereal. I had two injections of iron through an IV. They were superstrength and had to be given at an oncology center. Foods high in molasses or brown sugar help too.

KrauseHome is correct about getting treated. I was in the hospital a couple months ago and needed four units of blood. Apparently the doctor believed that had I been any older I wouldn't even have been still alive. I was prescribed a twice daily 325mg iron. Although I don't know all the foods which are good for helping iron, but red meats and dark leafy greens are right. Liver is one of the best things... but not something I can bring myself to consume.
