I guess you've already read the alert from mylot they will stop paying through moneybookers. Lucky for me because I am using paypal.
For those fellow lotters who cannot avail of paypal, I feel for you. But I am hoping that mylot will give an alternative mode of payment.

Thank you Moneybookers. Now I'm scratching my head to find the solution regarding this problem. I can't use paypal with my bank account and the only way I have to register for debit card to use it with PayPal. When I'm counting the days for my first payment to arrive, this sudden alert really don't have any good times to come
I'm not sure when I can have it settle on my side but I'm starting to feel lost some motivation to continue Lotting here.Hmm...

Well, it's not a lot of consolation, but they are planning an additional payout for anyone who has reached $4.50 by the 14th so that they can get as much money as they can before Moneybookers stops accepting it. I think that's because of the transfer rates these sites have. I'm guessing, anyway, because I've never used them, but know that it takes 3-4 days to process transfers between PayPal and my bank. I think a lot of it is due to restrictions the US Government places on where money can go from the US. So, it may be hard for myLot to find one who can send money to countries not approved by our government. Again, that's a guess, but I know that's one of PayPal's restrictions - why they only operate in certain countries. It may have been applied to Moneybookers as well.

Hmm...I think you're right. When it's already involved the political things, I mean like the country policy, then nothing we can do about.

This alert affect me big time, I only use moneybookers as for paypal is not available here in Egypt! I'm sad though. after a few days receiving the payment and be happy about it, now theres a twist.
We may find some alternative, but at the moment, I don't really know what to say. Have a nice day.

Yeah, I just read the alert and I wonder what that will mean for Mylot. First it was eGold and now Moneybookers. I'm sure there will be some other alternatives in the future for those who can't get Paypal.

Hi there maroseqf!I use both PayPal and Moneybookers for all my online activities. I used Moneybookers for myLot before but recently, have been using PayPal. That is why I do not really have a problem with the changes they are to implement effective November 17. I hope that not many would be affected by these changes. Keep posting and happy myLotting!

Hi there maroseqf!
I use both PayPal and Moneybookers for my online activities. I used to rely on Moneybookers for my myLot activities. I never had any problems with my transactions with Moneybookers. Recently though, I have been using PayPal. I hope that those who are using Moneybookers wouldn't really encounter any problem/s with these changes. Good day and happy posting!

sad for me, i have been using moneybookers and i like their services. it can transfer dollars from a dollar account, while paypal can't transfer dollars in the philippines. so i have to convert my earnings to pesos and in the process, i lose some money. anyway, it is a reality now that mylot will not dispense payout through moneybookers. so i have shifted just this morning to paypal. i have no choice..

Frankly it doesn't have an effect on me as I don't use Moneybookers at all. I use Paypal.
I love China
