Hi there dominichan. if a friend of mine told me he got aids, i will treat him like no difference at all. He is my friend wheather he got aids or not. Having aids would no be the reason not to make friends with him. I will support him and make every day a good day for him. I know He will be suffer from too much pressure just thinking about him self, I will make it lite for him. And aside from that I will pray for him. Happy my lotting..........

I would continue to be his friend and try to offer any support that I could. I would try to be empathetic as well as sympathetic to their situation and try to realize how they were feeling about their situation and be there to listen to them whenever they needed someone. My friendship would not change.

This has happened on a couple of occassions over the last 15 or so years. It is painful as with any other possibly terminal illness. Thankfully medicine and technology has come a long way during this time and the diagnosis and treatment is far better.
The only option that you have as a friend is to be supportive and not judge the person.

I would tell them I am sorry to hear such news and give them only positive support and continue to be there friend. I would let them know that i will be there for them just as i have always been and pray for them to be able to be as healthy as possible and live as normal of a life as possible.

Of course I will be sad for my friend. But I will ask him/her how she/he got aids. I will support her for whatever means I can help her.
