Can diamond burn?

I heard that diamonds can catch fire and can burn just like coal. Is it true?

Well Diamonds can catch fire and burn but not as easily as coal. It has to be around 850C for a Diamond to give of carbon dioxide and be able to catch fire, also because it takes such high temperatures to combust Diamonds never fuse together. Hope this helps.
