I am disappointed again. I wish I could end this here. My son today told me it will be interesting when toothpaste will float in the air and we will have to run after it to catch it in order to brush our teeth. And while pouring water on us all the water will start flying in the air. He says we will have to tie our feet in straps to walk then.

Noting really funny could become of someone magically turning off the gravity switch.
Depending upon which gravity is lost, the following could happen:
If we only lost the earth's gravity:
1) anything, including loose dirt, dust etc would float above the surface.
2)Anyting that was not anchored tothe surface would immediately fly towards the east, as the last force acting o everything would have been the rotation of the earth itself. Kinda like going 50MPH while standing untethered on a trailer, and the car towing it stops suddenly.
3)The atmosphere is held in place by gravity, it too would desintegrate, and all living things, including cockroaches would be killed.
If we suddenly lost all gravity in the solar system:
1)due to the centrifugal force exerted by the sun , the earth would rocket off into space on a tangent, never stopping until acted upon by another force. Kida like swinging a rock around tied to a string and letting go...only it would never stop..it would continu travelling in the same direction.
Again life as we know it would end rather quickly!!!
