I live in a private house. A three storied building. Its our own house and we live in all the three floors. The ground floor, however, is almost vacant for we do not have much guests nowadays and my sisters and their family are aboard. The freedom and fun on living in a house is far greater than multi storied buildings. I have friends who live in apartments but they love our house.
Thanks.

Even with all the facilities like security, gym, shops and community I would rather live in a small house. That would give me much comfort.

Where I live, in the Middle East, it's not unusual for people to live in a high rising building. They're more convenient here and closer to the city. I live in the 14th floor, and my building has 23 floors altogether. This is typical around here. The 14th floor isn't a big problem for me, but some buildings around here have 50 floors and I couldn't imagine living in one of them. O.o
I prefer living in a house though, because it's true - you do feel more connected to the Earth. xD You can walk right out the door and there you are on the street; there's no need to wait for an elevator. =P

in big cities where there is a constraint for space you cannot help but stay in highrises
