If I had a daughter I would let her go on a date with a young man of her own age at 14 years old. This would only apply if she was a sensible and fairly responsible young lady. I would expect that she went on dates like a walk along the coast on Saturday afternoon or a visit to the movies on Saturday evening. I would not want her to have dates on week nights when she should be doing her home work. I would advise her to be serious about her revision for exams and that her dates should be a growing friendship.

I personaly believe 16 is a good age for dating. my mother trusted me to go to the movies or to the mall with my male friend. its all about trust. I know I felt more obligated to do the right thing because I new my mother trusted me. at 14 i would have to say no not by herself but a group date is not bad. its not just the age but you have alot of crazy people out there and I would fear for both my daughter and the boy.

Unchaperoned? Me personally I think sixteen is a good age to let her start dating but that is my opinion. Alot of parents allow their kids to date alot younger which is their choices. I think sixteen is a fairly decent age especially if you have a good relationship with your daughter. Is that a good age in your opinion?

ya, i was thinking that sixteen is a good age to let they go for date, me myself go for date at the same age, at that age they know what they want to do with their life and they know what is good and bad.
