Yes I sometimes do when they really get on my nerves. But I hate doing so losing control. In US I have heard you can be jailed for spanking.In India everyone beats up chidren I am not i favour of this , my spanking is just a light tap on their bums. I try not to hurt them but still I feel bad when my son tells me that you beat me too much and I am scared of you. I tell him I am sorry forlosing contrl but he had really irritated me and I was tired so I couldn't keep myself in check. I always tell him even though this is a reason still he is right to feel hurt at my behavior and can accuse me if he wants to as I was wrong too. He usually says Its okay and he will try to behave better next time. Sometimes due to this we have so much understanding for weeks that if I tell him I am too tired he tries not to irritate me any more. He is just 7 year old but very nice and understanding kid. we discuss everything under the sun. I encourage him to share his confusions, feelings and ask questions.

No, I don't. But don't think that it has not crossed my mind a time or 2 or more. You do have to be very careful in this country. It is considered abuse...and really what does spanking teach our kids...that Violence is ok?
