How many licks does it take to get the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?
Really, has anyone ever tried?
I know the trusty owl did it in three licks and a clamp of the beak. But how many does it really take?
Some college students designed a machine to test the question and determined that it takes 317 licks to get to the center. This was shown on "Made in America". This also covered the entire tootsie pop...not just coming at the center from one side.
