What is your limit time to sit in front of a computer

I work with computers all day long for a living and when I come home I use them some more. Being that I am a "techie" I cannot escape computers. I pretty much have them around me almost all of the time. It is no big deal for me to be on the computer constantly.

Well, for me I had a job for years that I sat in front of the computer all day long and then came home and used it at night. I can sit in front of the computer for eight hours and more. Although it is a lot nicer when you have an LCD monitor because it is better for your eyes. Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I haven't set limit time for facing the screen .but i never sit in front of a computer all day long.I can't imagin that. It'll kill me.

No, I can't sit in front of my computer all day long. The longest that I can sit is for 10 hours in a day.. That means that I am taking breaks here and now..

Well since I don't have much to do in the house I just spend most of my time in front of my laptop. There is no limit how much time I should spend in front of the computer as long as I can do it and if theres nothing else to do. But sitting long hours is also painful at the back and exhausting too. Sometimes I begin to have back pains. I have tried setting limits once but I always fail cause I never can follow it diligently. I am addicted to mylot and my online earnings and its hard to control it cause its fun. But I think we should set limit for everything cause anything extreme is bad. Ciao!

Hi there hiddenwing I might sometimes spend about 2 hours infront of the pc but usually take a break after an hour. I usually log on again later on but like to sit infront of it for too long. I don't think I would like to do it as a job!

After thirty straight minutes I have to at least stand up and stretch. I don't think I could sit for hours on end. My last job required to be at my computer for most of the day. It wasn't all that fun when my back and neck would start to tense up.

I can sit in front of the computer as long as i can, lol, but i have to at least stand up to take a break.. When i was still into playing online games, especially during vacations, I only stand up when i want to take a bladder break or go to the kitchen to find something to eat, other than that.. I would be sitting in front of the computer the whole day.. lol

I could not sit at a computer all day. I could never have a job as a computer analyst or a telemarketer that stares at a screen all day long plus sitting that long makes my legs cramp up. I have to be able to get up and move around. I only stay at the computer maybe half an hour at a time.

No, I cannot sit in front of the computer all day. When I get to the computer at all, it is from shortly after 8 PM to just before 10 PM central standard time. Sometimes, I can sneak in an hour or so on Saturday or Sunday afternoon, but that is not very often. Wednesdays, I can't get on the computer until about 8:30 PM, and on Monday it is after 9 PM before I can get to the computer. Sometimes I think I'd like more computer time. Then, I think of all the other things I want to do, and I decide that the computer has already taken too big of a chunk out of my life.

Hi hiddenwing! I worked for over 20 years as a legal secretary so I had no choice but to sit in front of a computer all day long and sometimes I even worked overtime hours. I had to type out complicated documents that had to be perfect and sometimes these documents were difficult to type. My eyes would be just about bugging out of my head. Sometimes there would even be complicated numerical data involved because in some cases I was typing Contracts of Agreement. So I sure do know what you mean! I sometimes put in 12 hour days! It was money in my pocket so I did what I had to do to keep my job! Of course I didn't always like it, but it had to be done! Some of the Briefs were unbelievable long too! Lawyers are extremely long winded and detailed and Judges and Courts don't allow for any missing information or mistakes so I had to be very careful! Then it had to be collated and that was also a very time consuming process. The copying alone could take hours! It was necessary to make 4-5 full sets or more of the entire document along with the exhibits! OMG! No wonder I'm a basket case now! I don't know how I ever lived through those days!

Well usually its about an hour on the computer for me. I usually skateboard for about 6-9 hours a day so i dont have much time for the computer. The problem is, im a photoshop artist and a 3ds max modeler. And thats probly more addicting then computer games lol. When i get really cought up in a new project in photoshop or 3ds max i usually cant quit no matter how much i want to :p

I think, i always in front of the computer because is't duties of mf as IT engineer who can't far from the computer. I am so happy with the computer and sit in front it for time to time

If I wanted to (and had a lot of free time), I could sit on the computer all day. I wouldn't do this though because it's really unhealthy. =S After spending long hours on the computer, my head and eyes often hurt and my mind feels tired. Sometimes, I can't bring myself to do anything else, and I'm in a bad mood. When I used to do this in the past, I was told I get a lot more agressive after spending a lot of time on the compter, although I did not notice it. I'm often forced to type up things and view PowerPoints for school now, but I take breaks because I know what effects staring blankly at the screen can have on me. I would suggest walking around or eating or drinking something every once in a while for a minute or two. Even if it's just looking through the window, I find that it helps a lot. I don't really have a limit screen time. When I feel tired, if it's up to me, I'll just go do something else. =P

Well I do not really earn a living off the computer, I earn a bit of pocket money so if I do not come on the computer then it is just some spending money that I lose. I tend to spend about three hours or so on the computer a day depending on how fast I can finish the housework!

yes to some extent it is true...but see the world is behind internet no-a-days. And we get alot of information through internet.. Some are living with it and we can't say that it would be hard enough.. The time you schedule for the computer screen should anyhow limited as many are getting so many problems...most prevailed disease is dry-eyes

I have no limits to myself on how long do I have to spend time in front of a computer. Im an internet addict. I love the internet so much. I make money on it. Have friends. Search for weird things. There's a lot more things I can do in front of a computer. I only leave the computer when I feel sleepy and when I am going to eat and going to the comfort room. The World Wide Web is my world.
